DraftKings 50% Profit Boost strategy

I don't try to analyze NCAAF matchups too much early in the season because I can never come up with any solid rhyme or reason to persuade me one way or the other.
So ... I tried a different strategy when I seen the Draft King 50% boost come out. That profit boost is for a parlay where each leg is at least -500. I went through all the games and looked for a home team that was around a 10 point favorite (Between 8-13 pts). I just picked my favorite 4 games which ended over +100 and boosted it. It has hit each week so far. Was thinking about going for 5 games this week... I also picked 6 teams using that method last week, and did a 5/6 round robin which paid +200 if all hit, and got your money back if 5 hit. Last week all 6 hit.

Thoughts on this one?

I went back over the original post with the details of the strategy and I realized that you said home favorites. The Buffaloes were on the road last night. Critical error on my part, but I wanted action on the Friday night game so I would have probably taken it anyway.

You sure, I believe they were in Boulder according to Yahoo?
But the good thing about the bad-beat happening on Friday is that you can confidently put back in another 4 teamer today and get it back!!

It was in Boulder. I was second guessing myself thinking about Coach Prime complaining about late starts and keeping kids occupied in the hotel all day.

So, 6 of the 8 teams won under this strategy, and that is considered an off-week.
Even so, you only need to pick 4 of the 8 teams which means there are 70 different permutations you could have selected.  
Of those 70, there were 15 that would have still won.  So, in this case if 6 0f 8 hit you had a 21% chance of still winning ... which isn't great ... but still a chance.  

And if 7 of 8 win (which is more likely based on the last several weeks) then there are 35 winning permutations and your chance of winning is still 50%.  

Not saying any of this makes it a more intriguing reason to bet it, but just saying that 20% of the folks could have still won this week!
